About RightEye

At Cognitive Organics, we look at the whole nervous system—not just thoughts and feelings. RightEye is an FDA-cleared eye-tracking tool that helps us see how the brain and eyes are working together.

In a quick, noninvasive 5-minute assessment, RightEye measures how your eyes move when you read, track, and shift focus. Those eye-movement patterns give us objective data about attention, processing speed, visual strain, and post-concussion changes—things that often show up as anxiety, irritability, “zoning out,” or learning struggles.

We use this information to better understand what your brain is dealing with, to tailor your treatment plan (therapy, school supports, and brain-based interventions like neurofeedback), and to track your progress over time.

It’s Not Just Your Eyes—It’s Your Visual Brain

Your two eyes and brain must all work together to navigate the world. It’s this connection that makes up your dynamic vision. A standard eye exam, however, only checks your eyes’ physical health and ability to focus on stationary objects — it doesn’t measure critical dynamic vision skills such as eye movement and coordination. Signs that you may have a functional vision problem include:

  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Rereading or skipping lines of print
  • Short attention span
  • Poor reading comprehension
  • Poor coordination or balance
  • Slow completion of work
  • Previous brain trauma (concussions, strokes)
  • Loss of interest in reading
  • Frequent headaches

A RightEye assessment is a 5-minute, non-invasive test performed at our offices that could set you on a path to improvement.

The Missing Piece: Vision’s Role in Learning and Behavior

One in four children has a vision problem that affects learning — a vision problem that is often misinterpreted as disinterest, sleepiness, dyslexia or ADHD. Eyesight (the ability to receive input through the eye) is not the same as vision (the ability to understand what that input is). Recognizing this distinction has monumental implications. Even a child with 20/20 eyesight can have a vision issue at the core of their learning problem.

To complicate matters, vision-related learning problems share the same symptoms as countless learning disability diagnoses, including:

  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Rereading or skipping lines of print
  • Letter reversals
  • Difficulty recognizing words
  • Short attention span
  • Poor reading comprehension
  • Poor handwriting
  • Slow completion of work
  • Loss of interest in reading

You have the opportunity to change your child’s life forever.

Concussions, the Brain, and Vision

A concussion doesn’t just bruise your thinking—it can quietly disrupt how your eyes and brain work together. Even long after the initial injury, many people are left with hidden visual problems that standard eye exams and brain scans don’t pick up. These functional vision issues can make everyday life feel harder than it needs to be.

Common post-concussion visual symptoms include:

  • Blurred or double vision

  • Difficulty tracking words while reading

  • Feeling “off balance” or unsteady

  • Increased light sensitivity

  • Headaches or eye strain, especially with screens or reading

  • Trouble focusing or concentrating

  • Feeling mentally fatigued much sooner than before

Because these challenges show up as irritability, anxiety, “brain fog,” school struggles, or changes in behavior, they’re often mistaken for purely emotional or attention issues.

A RightEye assessment is a quick, 5-minute, non-invasive test that maps how your eyes move and how well your visual system is functioning after a concussion. This gives our team objective data about your brain’s recovery, helps explain what you’re experiencing, and guides a more targeted plan for healing.
