Urinary System Overview

This is another system that is an end system but it’s better because we can do noninvasive tests of the out products of this system (ex. urine) to get an idea of what’s going on inside with rather quick feedback times.
The urinary system consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra. The purpose of the urinary system is to eliminate waste from the body, regulate blood volume and blood pressure, control levels of electrolytes and metabolites, and regulate blood pH.
See how we test a lot of those things to give us clues as to what is happening on the inside? What a great feedback system!
