Anyone! Literally from newborn to the elderly can benefit from LENS.  The advantage of LENS compared to other Neurofeedback is that the person getting a LENS treatment doesn't have to do anything and the sessions are quick, which makes it especially advantageous for young ones.

Essentially LENS speaks the brain's language and reflects back to the brain what it is doing.  The brain can then essentially recognize what it is doing and make adjustments if there seems to be a better way.

This is the same thing we do in regular talk therapy but instead of getting that information in through the brains 'second language' (i.e. verbal language - with all of the cultural, dialect, hearing, and interpretation issues that can arise with translation) we are going straight to the brains primary language so it can take in that information and make improvements much much faster.

The simple answer is no.  The number of sessions will depend on your situation but once you have the benefit evidence both research and antidotaly show that you will not need to continue.  You can come back for maintenance sessions if you find a symptom pops up but that's no different than going to another health care professional throughout your lifetime when something pops up for you.

Anything you do has side effects.  Drink too much water? The side effect is you need to go to the bathroom.

Yes there are potential side effects.  If you currently or have ever experienced migraines, headaches, tinnitus, seizures, tics, cluster headaches, stuttering, Tourette Syndrome and/or explosiveness (rage, outbursts, tantrums), you could see a temporary increase in those symptoms before they get better.  For example, if you normally have 2 seizures a week, you might have 3 seizures a week at the beginning of treatment.  This is something we will discuss as far as appropriateness and potential timing during the treatment planning session.

It is possible that you might need less or none of your medication.

Your sleep could be disrupted for 1-2 nights.

The first and any LENS session is $60 per session (we accept insurance!).

Not at all.  You will likely think we didn't even do anything until you start to notice you are sleeping better or your anxiety is reduced or you can set goals and work towards them productively etc.  It is subtle but powerful.

No, we do not diagnose you with anything if you do self-pay (if using insurance they require a diagnosis).  LENS is a diagnosis-free treatment.  This is a safe and very effective treatment for those who want treatment but don't want a diagnosis to inhibit other things in their life.
